Food and Drink: In the two days in Guatemala, we didn’t eat any Guatemala food, in part because we were still sick. 

Must Eats:

• We don’t have any must from this trip, but Lauren was in Guatemala two years ago and the best bread she’s ever had was at a famous chain called Xelapan in Quetzaltenango.

Highlights:

• Our private balcony at Hotel Mirador del Lago in Flores overlooking the lake.
• Eating Hawaiian pizza at Lunada restaurant on the lake.

Best Deal:

• Hotel Mirador Del Lago: For just $15/night we had a nice, renovated room with a private balcony and a great view.
